二 | Waymo目前拥有约3700辆捷豹I-PACE无人出租车，Ojai将与之并行运营，乘客附近有Ojai可用时系统会自动匹配，未来Waymo还将允许乘客在两款车型间自主选择。
而美国对中国电动车征收约127.5%的关税，加上2027年即将生效的联邦联网车辆规则，禁止使用来自中国或俄罗斯的车辆联网和驾驶辅助软硬件，实际上已将中国品牌乘用车挡在美国市场门外。但Waymo找到了绕行方案，据《福布斯》报道，自2024年以来Waymo已通过洛杉矶港进口超过3200辆极氪车辆，其中2026年单年就超过2600辆，全部缴纳高额关税。
三 | 极氪车辆抵达美国时已移除中国产联网硬件和传感器，Waymo在亚利桑那州梅萨工厂与供应商麦格纳合作完成最终组装，搭载Waymo自主研发的第六代自动驾驶系统。换言之，乘客坐进的车身、电池和座舱都来自极氪，但“大脑”已替换为Waymo的。得益于极氪较低的基价，即便加上127.5%关税，整车成本仍预计低于被替换的捷豹I-PACE无人出租车的一半。而Waymo第六代Driver系统配备13个摄像头、4个激光雷达和6个毫米波雷达，传感器数量较第五代减少42%，单车硬件成本控制在2万美元以内。
四 | Ojai的内饰同样为无人驾驶场景量身定制，低地板平踏设计、两侧宽大的侧滑门、三块后排自适应屏幕（分别显示路线、音乐和空调控制），还配备充电接口、杯架、扶手及盲文标识等无障碍设施。截至上周，Waymo已在亚利桑那工厂囤积近1000辆Ojai，正加速改装部署。Waymo目前每周在全美十余座城市完成约50万次付费出行，目标是将周单量提升至100万次。与此同时，Waymo还推出了集成Gemini的全新乘客App，Ojai后续将扩展至丹佛、圣地亚哥和拉斯维加斯等城市。
